Fix the water and the slab stays fixed
A downspout dumping onto a walk, or a low spot where water sits, will wash out the soil under a slab. Lift it without fixing the water and it sinks again.
What we fix
- Downspouts that empty onto or beside a walk, stoop or patio
- Low spots next to slabs where water pools and freezes
- Soil washed out from the edges of walks and aprons
- Ice that forms on walks from roof runoff
How we do it
- Downspout extensions above or below ground that carry water away from concrete
- Regrading soil along slab edges so water drains away
- Small drains, such as a channel drain across a walk or a pop-up emitter at the end of a buried line
Getting a slab lifted? We check where the water is coming from first, so you're not paying for the same lift twice.
Fix the trip hazard before it becomes a claim.
